Haggis, Neeps & Ceilidh Dancing

21.01.2019

Team AWD championed our Ayrshire base in celebration of local legend Rabbie Burns on Friday night at a Charity Burns Supper at Oran Mor in Glasgow, hosted by our client Multiplex.

The evening was compered by former Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Edward Reid, who got everyone into the party spirit, all in the aim of a good cause. We were raising money for two different charities, Maggie’s and Willow Foundation, both of whom provide vital support to young people living with serious illnesses across the UK. It was also a great opportunity to get together with clients and friends from across the construction and engineering sectors in Scotland.

After the traditional ‘address to the haggis’, we were treated to a dinner of pate, chicken balmoral and sticky toffee pudding, after which there was an auction to raise money for the two charities, with many fantastic items on offer including a signed Celtic jersey worn by Scott Brown and a golfing holiday.

The evening was rounded off with a ceilidh which got the AWD team jigging around the dancefloor for the rest of the night – safe to say there were a few sore legs on Saturday morning!

Thanks to Multiplex for hosting such a fun evening and for supporting two wonderful causes.
