Kilmarnock town centre has welcomed a new business in the form of Alan White Design Ltd. The seven-year old company moved to Kilmarnock from Glasgow this summer after outgrowing their original premises.
That saw the award winning company - which specialises in access engineering, structural design and temporary works – take up premises in the town's Hill Street.
Managing Director Malachy Ryan said of the move "We are a growing business and when it came time to move, we looked around for the most suitable location. Kilmarnock was an ideal fit as it has the range of local suppliers, transport links and services that we require as a company." The move has allowed the company to expand its workforce by recruiting an Office Manager and a Graduate Engineer.
The building in Hill Street, Kilmarnock, is also home to local business Microtech Digital who have created a new website for Alan White Design which is due to go live in mid-September. This will showcase their services and projects and hopefully lead to future workforce expansion. Alan White Design is the winner of the 2011 Structural Award for small practices.
