We’ve dived into the world of Gaelic Football this month by donating to the Scotland GAA Go Fund Me campaign.
The team took on Warwickshire in the All Britain inter-county final in Birmingham on Saturday 30th June, however the team were close to pulling out ahead of the tie due to a shortage of funds to cover the travel expenses.
The Scotland GAA secretary set up a GoFundMe page to appeal to supporters for help to reach their fundraising total of £2000. Within only 4 days, the page had achieved it’s target from 62 different supporters, with AWD contributing £780 to get the total over the line.
And the team made the journey more than worth it by walking away as British champions! We’re delighted to have been able to assist the team and to support Gaelic football in Scotland and send huge congratulations to the team on their win!
