Temporary Stability of Concrete Cores

17.05.2016

Since the beginning of the year Alan White Design has experienced a significant increase in the requirement for our temporary core assessment services.

The extensive use of slipform and jumpform systems for concrete core construction has led to an increase in temporary stability assessments. AWD complete a finite element analysis of the core in its temporary condition to ascertain its ability to resist lateral loads. In the majority of assessments, we have reduced the requirement for temporary propping which provides significant savings to our clients.
