The New Look AWD Has Arrived!

2018 marks our 18th birthday, and to celebrate we have rebranded to mark our coming of age!

We’re still AWD, but not as you’ve seen us before! Our new logo and updated branding bring a fresh new look and feel to our business which reflects the vibrant, creative and values-led business we have cultivated over the past 18 years, and staff at our Kilmarnock office took some time out to join the birthday celebrations and mark the occasion.

We started our journey in 2000, as a one-man engineering consultant, and over nearly two decades we’ve grown into one of the foremost engineering consultancies in the UK occupying a niche area in the industry, now employing 10 dedicated staff. We chose to celebrate our birthday by rebranding to recognise our evolution, and to ensure our brand embodies who we are, and how we see ourselves and our clients.

Managing Director, Malachy Ryan said, “We have built up a respected reputation in our industry over the past 18 years of hard work. We pride ourselves in being approachable, inclusive and trustworthy working partners and we wanted to update our brand to reflect this inclusive attitude. We wanted to ensure our new brand would still be recognisable to our existing customers, some of which have supported us loyally throughout the past 18 years, but we also wanted to demonstrate that we are now a company operating in a niche field with specialist knowledge and skill in all aspects of Temporary Works, Access Engineering and Structural Design. We have also expanded, especially over the past few years, and we want to recognise that all our employees play a huge part in our success and to ensure our brand and identity reflects their stake-holding in our company too. “

As a consultancy, our clients are the lifeblood of our business. They are at the heart of everything we do, and we recognise how important they are to our continued success. Our values as a company are centred around working in partnership with our clients to overcome obstacles and working with professionalism and precision to deliver the inspiring engineering solutions our customers have come to expect from us. Our new logo and branding reflects this approach and communicates these values clearly to our clients, our employees and the wider engineering industry.

Marketing Manager, Fiona McGrath, said “We worked with Dani and her team at Microtech Digital to design our new logo. We wanted to retain the blue and white colours that are so easily recognisable as AWD, but we also wanted our logo to reflect the young, dynamic and creative team that Alan and Malachy have built over the past 18 years. The logo reflects connection, partnership, creativity and trust, all of which embody who we are. We hope that our clients, current and future, have the same faith in our brand as we do, and when they see the logo they recognise the quality and professionalism associated with it.

Everyone at AWD is excited to start working under the new brand, which we also believe makes a bold claim about our ambitions for the future. We are known among our customers for being cutting edge, pushing the boundaries of design, of taking on any challenge, big or small, and under the new branding we will continue to deliver our services in this way.
