Friday night saw team AWD head to Ayr Racecourse for the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. We were nominated in the category of Ayrshire’s Best Business, which gave us a great opportunity to get together with other finalists from across Ayrshire to celebrate the success of the local business community over the past year.
Hosted by Elaine C Smith, the event was attended by over 450 guests from all over Ayrshire from a diverse range of industries. For AWD, the past 12 months has been our best yet; our team has expanded as we continue to recruit to fulfil the demand for our services, and our international presence has grown with us now operating in more international markets than ever before, thanks to the hard-work and commitment of our dedicated team.
2018 has also seen the completion of some of our most high profile projects, including the iconic V&A Dundee, and we are proud to be temporary works and access engineering designers of choice for many contractors in the engineering and construction industries, and Friday evening was a great opportunity to celebrate our growing success with our amazing team.
On the night, we were highly commended in our category, with judges singling us out for our strong performance record, our collaborative relationships with our customers, and our ambitious plans for continued success. The event also raised over £4000 for local Ayrshire charity Whiteleys Retreat.
