This Sunday saw our MD Malachy take on the 'Roon the Toon' 10K for the 3rd year in a row in support of our friends and neighbours, Hillhouse!
Taking to the start line with over 1000 other runners, this year saw Malachy achieve a personal best time of 56 minutes and 25 seconds, with Hillhouse’s Sarah and Mairi on hand to congratulate him as he crossed the finish line! What a great achievement - all we can say is DOMS!
Malachy was motivated by the generous donations from friends and supporters of this wonderful charity, and this year, AWD is matching all donations, meaning that Hillhouse receive a cheque for an amazing £1324.50!
The race is just one of many ways we support Hillhouse throughout the year, with all money raised going to support their tireless efforts to help individuals and families in our local area who are facing financial hardship.
We’d like to thank everyone who generously supported Malachy and the Hillhouse team, your donation really does make a huge difference to the lives of so many in our local community.
We think we’ll give Malachy few days to rest before preparation for next year begins…..!
