Alan White Design is delighted to be supporting Hillhouse this Christmas by making a donation to help buy clothing for children experiencing hardship in Ayrshire.
Hillhouse, a charity founded in 1975, have been supporting families and individuals who face financial hardship across Ayrshire for over 40 years. In addition to the amazing work they do, they are also based next door to our office on Hill Street in Kilmarnock, which is why we were keen to support them with a donation this Christmas season.
The charity provides clothing, prams, nappies, cots and various other equipment required by families to ease the financial burden of providing these items or to provide for families who would otherwise be without these necessities. The staff at Hillhouse do a wonderful job and we are delighted to be in a position to make a donation to their cause.
Managing Director Malachy Ryan and Associate Director Euan Strathearn visited Hillhouse to drop off a cheque for £1000 to Project Coordinator Eileen and Volunteer Ann. The donation was used to buy pyjamas to give to local children this Christmas.
Malachy said: ‘As a father of two young children, I’m delighted that AWD is able to help support families in our local area who want to ensure their children receive a gift this Christmas but for many reasons are not in the financial position to be able to do so. The staff and volunteers at Hillhouse work tirelessly to improve the lives of many people in our community and despite the difficult work they do, the staff create a warm and welcome atmosphere and always greet us with a smile. At AWD we believe strongly in being an asset to our local community and in using our resources for the greater good and so we are happy to help in any way we can.’
