Reading Festival Megadome

AWD designed the Megadome tent for use at the Reading festival, as Special Structures Lab in collaboration with Rudi Enos Design.

Using NDN Membrane software, we developed a tensile membrane design with a composite cable net structure and more than 15,000 metres of reinforced polyester webbing supporting the membrane of the temporary structure.

Six King Poles in front of the stage formed a 50m circle with a clear distance of 62m in front of the stage, giving it the largest clear stage area of any portable structure available for hire.
